New PNSW coordinator

Parkinsons NSW would like to introduce you to our new support group coordinator Antoinette Riley.

Antoinette comes form a nursing background with lengthy experience and practice in aged care.  Antoinette was previously a Clinical Nurse Consultant in Aged care in central Sydney Area Health Service. And, in May 2012 she was asked to commission  the new Older Persons Unit at the Royal Hobart Hospital.

In the Clinical Nurse Consultant Aged care role Antoinette began some cares support groups and Dementia Cafes for both clients with Dementia and their carers for both informal support and education.

In her spare time Antoinette loves to sing and currently enjoys performing with two singing groups: Chordial Arrangements and Perfect 5th! She is married and has two daughters, Erin who is a social worker in a Sydney Aged Care  team, and Claire who has just graduated as a School Teacher in PDHPE, her Dad is a school teacher in Special Education.

We hope to arrange teleconferences so that you can meet Antoinette over the phone, and we are planning a series of regional visits.
