Stunning September meeting

Our September 2012 meeting, with guest speaker Prof. Simon Lewis, was a stunning success attended by about 150 persons.

We thank The Westport Club of Port Macquarie for supporting us so strongly with a wonderful venue and excellent service.

Representatives from regional public and private hospitals, health professionals and para-professionals joined people with Parkinson's and their carers to hear from Australia's leading Parkinson's researcher.

Attendees represented several fellow Parkinson's support groups and visitors came from as far afield as Coalfields, Coffs Harbour and Great Lakes.

The very affable Dr Simon Lewis didn't disappoint. His presentation, in two parts, extended beyond 2 hours and addressed topics from latest research findings to new and emerging treatments, and included some blunt advice against accepting scam "cures".

Simon's session included an extensive question and answer exchange, where he provided clear and direct responses to many concerns raised by audience members.

The meeting, including Simon's presentation and exchanges, was video-recorded and we will make copies available through this website as soon as we can complete post-production work.
